Experienced Natural Newborn Baby Photographer near Wilmslow

Just the other day, I had popped into the gorgeous Gails  in Wilmslow to inhale my weekly cake box treat (well I barely get a sniff of it with 3 kids) and my flat white when I bumped into a very special client who lives locally in Wilmslow. I call her special because she has been with me since I opened in 2018 and I am truly grateful for her unwavering loyalty. We gave each other a big hug and I spoke of how the newborn photography market was getting inundated with new photographers all wanting to specialise in exactly what I did. Natural baby photography. I had a bit of a grumble – as you do – but she immediately bought back to reality and told me how she always raves about me. “I am always telling my friends about you – are you kidding me? You are the best out there!”. Immediately I blushed and felt a bit silly about having a moan.

The reality is that the market is busy. If you go and google “newborn baby photographer near wilmslow” no doubt you will get inundated with a list of photographers. Unfortunately for you, it is your job to whittle down the right baby photographer for you and work out who is truly the best.

Who is the best Photographer for me?

Who is the best baby photographer is definitely subjective. When I go shopping for clothes, I refuse to fall in love with a product until I have seen its price. It is a fact of life that we all have budgets that we are working within and ultimately that may well be a driving force in you deciding who is the best photographer for you. But I do offer a really competitive starter collection called simplicity which you will struggle to beat – especially with my level of experience and skill.

Experience & Expertise

Which moves me on to experience and skill. There is literally nothing that I have not seen in my newborn studio. There is little that I cannot handle or deal with. Rarely, a baby will cry non stop. They simply come back another day. Why stress you out? Why stress baby out? But assuming that your newborn is like 99% of them who has a cry, feed, cry, settles, feed, settles and so on know that everything is normal. Patience is key. For me and experience ensures that no matter how your baby is – we will get the absolute best photographs. Established in 2018, after having my third baby and after selling my baby swimming business (which you should definitely check out and do!).  I have years of experience working with new parents and babies. I know how to handle them and I always work with them.

Natural Baby Photographs

It is still very popular and fashionable to have a more posed approach to baby photos. But for me, I adore babies as they are. And this means that I like to photograph them in a more natural way. I don’t have loads of props like buckets and flower pots to pop your baby in. I have a bean bag and I have the best prop – you and your arms. My styling is neutral and simple. Focus should always be on your baby. Lots of bright colours and props will draw your eye away from baby. You do not want that. It is always important to know that I do not pose baby in the more “fashionable poses” like the Froggy. This is the pose where baby is lifted up and is unnaturally resting their heads on their hands. Their legs are bought around to their fronts. Google that and you will see exactly what I mean. It simply isnt a pose I like or think is safe. When you look through my portfolio you will see a more gentle posed approach. Which I adore.
