the Process
Booking your newborn photoshoot
If you have had your 20 week scan & you feel ready to do so - then this is the perfect time. Honestly, the earlier the better! But only if you feel ready. We don’t know exactly when baby will arrive, so we use your due date as a guide at the time of booking. Once baby arrives we confirm the date of the photoshoot. Due to the nature of newborn shoots I only book in a limited number each month – so please get in touch.

What if my baby is early or late?
Please do not worry about this. Your newborn will make an appearance whenever they are ready and I limit my newborn photoshoots to ensure maximum flexibility. I completely understand that your due date is a guide. But I use this to make sure I have you planned in & we can confirm your photoshoot for a date that suits!

What if my baby won't settle during the photoshoot?
My sessions are generally 2 hours long and that time usually is more than enough to allow for cuddles, milk, and nappy changes. It is rare for a baby to just sleep soundly for the whole session - as lovely as it is when it happens! But always expect a period when baby will be unsettled and it is always factored in. So please, do not panic.

What should we wear to the photoshoot?
This is your photoshoot and so what you wear should 100% reflect you and who you are. With that being said, I do think that neutral clothes are the best option. So limit heavily branded clothes or anything patterned. Focus needs to be on the baby and you do not want your eye to be drawn to the clothes you are wearing and not the baby.
Think white/neutral shirts or knits for Dad and white/neutral shirt/top/ dress for mum. Same for siblings.

Until you see your images it is impossible to know how many you will fall in love with. If you are selecting images based on a budget, this is fine and you can select the one that suits you best.
