Well, every photographer has a style. Mine is natural. I want to capture reality, to lock in time. Something that is an honest, glorious representation of you, your baby, and/or your family. What I’m trying to say is we won’t be sitting your baby in a flowerpot or dressing them up as a daffodil.

I’m not saying you can’t do that. Of course you can. It’s just not my bag.

Now, there might just be a bit of urgency here. Take a maternity shoot. You want blooming. You want blossoming. You want bump. Naturally, there’s a limited window there. It’s usually 30-34 weeks.

It’s the same with a newborn photoshoot at my Cheshire studio. Newborns are only newborn for a short amount of time. It’s astonishing how quickly those gorgeous crumples un-crumple. So if you want all that wonderful newborn-ness to really shine through, we’ll need to hold the shoot within about 3 weeks of birth.

To make sure I capture you and/or your baby at exactly the right moment, I don’t overbook. There’s always a bit of wiggle room. So book me as soon as you can. Let me know your due date. And let’s work from there.

It’s something I quite often hear from families who once visited me for their newborn photoshoot and return a year or two (or more) later because now they need a Cheshire family photographer to capture the authentic changing face of their family.

You’ll find me in Macclesfield, Cheshire (my wonderful, calming studio is in my garden) although my clients come from a little further afield because, when you’ve done what I do for long enough, you build a bit of a reputation. I’m extremely grateful for the fact my clients visit me from across the North West & Midlands. 

I’m best known as a newborn photographer in Cheshire, but I’m a maternity, older baby and family photographer too. In general though, it’s best not to worry too much about the labels. Let’s focus on the results instead.
